Canadian Capitals 6/11/19 (Indy to Buffalo)

We are off on our next adventure, visiting four Canadian Capitals (Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal & Quebec City).

Today we drove from Indy to Buffalo.  It was a picture perfect day, cool temps and wonderful sunshine.  After weeks of rain and gloomy weather, it was a great way to start the trip.  As we made our way up I69 and across US24 it was easy to see that the recent weather has affected farmers in Indiana.  Most crops are not yet in the ground, let alone sprouting.  Ohio crops seemed to be several weeks ahead of Indiana's.

The trip itself was fairly uneventful.  We encountered one closed ramp that required us to go an exit further and double back.  We also jumped off the Interstate to bypass stopped traffic.  Our detour took us through the small town of Conneaut, Ohio.  Less than a mile from Lake Erie, it was the location of a Mississauga Indian village.  Several prominent athletes hail from Conneaut along with one Britton Falls resident.  Mildred Gillars (Axis Sally), an American radio personality during WWII, also has roots in this small town.

After checking into our hotel, we enjoyed a relaxing dinner at the Melting Pot.  Tomorrow we are headed across the border.

No pictures today.
